In the highly competitive landscape of industrial computer systems, reliability is a non-negotiable factor. Every product released to the market must guarantee consistent and lasting performance, even under the most extreme operating conditions. It is with this in mind that TPole, a leading supplier in the sector, has developed and implemented the TPTEST application, a state-of-the-art system that raises the standards of certification testing to a new level of precision and automation.

The challenge of certification testing: complexity and rigor

Supplying reliable products to TPole’s customers is no simple task. It requires an extremely rigorous certification process, which extends over several weeks and involves intensive work cycles inside a climatic chamber. During these cycles, the systems under test are subjected to complex sequences of power-on and power-off cycles, simulated under a wide variety of operating and power supply conditions.

Temperature plays a crucial role in these tests. Fan-cooled and fanless systems have different thermal requirements and must be tested within a specific temperature range to ensure their stability and functionality in any environment.

TPTEST: the heart of automation and control

This is where TPTEST comes in, an automatic testing system designed to drive and monitor the entire certification process. Its key feature is centralized management: TPTEST not only controls the climatic chamber, setting temperatures and work cycles, but also interacts directly with the computers under test.

Thanks to TPTEST, it is possible to capture real-time operating data from the computer, including the temperatures of each individual component. This detailed monitoring allows for the identification of any anomalies and ensures that every element operates within its established specification limits.

Simulating extreme conditions for unsurpassed reliability

A distinctive feature of TPTEST is its ability to simulate unstable power supply voltage conditions. This event, which is far from infrequent in some industrial applications, can cause malfunctions or, even worse, data loss or BIOS corruption. TPTEST faithfully reproduces these voltage fluctuations, ensuring that TPole systems are immune to such issues and capable of operating stably even in electrically suboptimal environments.

In summary, TPTEST is not just a testing tool, but a fundamental pillar of TPole’s quality strategy. It allows for comprehensive and in-depth certification tests, ensuring that every product delivered to customers is not only high-performing but, above all, robust, reliable, and ready to face the challenges of the industrial world.
