After giving wide space to the technological innovations introduced by Intel thanks to the Skylake platform, both in the desktop version and mobile, TPOLE is now going to present two Skylake architecture desktop-based products:
- Mini PC RCS-9440R model by Vecow
- DFI board SD631 model, available with chipset Q170 and C236
Fanless mini PC based on Skylake S (desktop) architecture
The Mini PC RCS-9440R model by Vecow is fanless and equipped with the expansion slot and a number of other features which are described in detail below.
The proposed model is the RCS-9440R, top of the range series 9000. Its features are really a lot for its size.
Q170 chipset and configurabile RAID
The chipset that equips the motherboard is the Q170, among the options it includes the configurable RAID versions: 0-1 -5 – 10.
We want to start with this specific function because the mini PC is equipped with 4 hot-swap bays 2.5 ” for HDD / SSD which can be set using the RAID option that best suits to the customer application.
It is possible to use all the HDD / SSD present in the bays only as data storage units, it is therefore possible to reside the operating system on internal mSATA or CFast accessible.
Up to 4 add-on cards
Another relevant strength of this product is the ability to insert 4 add on cards.
In RCS-9440R model you can find:
- 1xPCIe x8
- 3xPCIe x4
On the 9000 series are still available different versions of the PC equipped with different riser card such as:
- 1xPCIe x16
3 interior mini PCIe slots
We would also like to underline presence of 3 internal mini PCIe slots on which you can mount 3 modem 4G, as the mini PC is equipped with 3 SIM holder; one internal and two accessible from the front, but protected by a flap.
The variety of features is completed by 32 Isolated DIO and 7 USB 3.0.
